If you have a somewhat active night life in Atlanta then Kenny Burns is no stranger to you. But for those who are unfamiliar, he is widely known as “The Life-style Specialist.” From hosting the hottest and exclusive celebrity parties to hosting television specials on BET, his signature master-of-ceremony style is legendary. And the latest addition to his brand is the internet radio show, The Kenny Burns Show.

Launched as a test or pilot in January, The Kenny Burns Show, has become a regular staple for listeners seeking variety to get them through their mid-days. His show airs Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm EST on Beehive FM. It’s not your average radio show. What’s so engaging is that this show doesn’t fit an existing music format. The music selection ranges from Kings of Leon to Ludacris to Raheem DaVaughn to The Eurythmics. The show’s programming is primarily centered around whatever is hot from any era. The mix at 5 pm EST, done by DJ Mars, of the Superfriends, educates listeners with music trivia daily. From exposing the origin of music samples used in HipHop to highlighting popular music by decade, DJ Mars offers something for music lovers of all ages.

The Kenny Burns Show’s cast, alongside Kenny is complimented by Eileen “The Dominicana,” CMB-We-All-We-Got, MJ Fir 3, and The Wild Afrikan. Advance warning, this show is for the “grown folks,” meaning it picks up where Howard Stern leaves off but a little more sexy and less raunchy. And those that choose to listen while at work are strongly advised to use headphones, as their popular segment, Venus vs Mars, can get pretty steamy. Venus vs Mars is their take on the Battle of the Sexes but as it relates to bedroom recreation. Any given day, you’ll find some of the most influential celebrities and tastemakers in entertainment stopping by. From songwriter/producer, Brian Michael Cox, Trina, to the producers of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you never know who will be stopping by or calling into the show. Some of their most popular guest interviews can be watched on Kenny’s Vimeo channel or on Beehive FM’s YouTube channel. But not to be outdone by competing radio shows, they still offer some of the regular segments: current events and pop culture commentary by Eileen; sports by Carin (CMB); celebrity gossip by Baller Alert (Kenny’s sister). In addition, to those segments, TKBS has a segment for your conspiracy theorists. The Wild Afrikan’s Plutopia segment invites listeners to open their minds and to question what you are told by the media.

Besides the different segments, what makes this show so revolutionary is that it interacts with the Twitter nation consistently throughout the broadcast. Mark my words, this show is on to something with their tongue-and-cheek approach to interactive radio. It won’t be long before the entire Twitter universe will see trending topics like #TKBS or #TouchYoSelf, which is Kenny Burns’ signature tag line.

The title of this post took a while to get right. I blame the hands of AMG and Philip Plein for over-making the Benz G 55 into some thing which is a bit tough for my tastes (hence the massive title). Autoblog agrees. “While we aren’t necessarily against fully cladding a G55 in carbon fiber, our hesitation with the G-Couture is less about the concept and more about the execution.
